2021.10.26 09:48 PrincipleFamiliar463 What suits you?

With metorid being a little over 35 years old, samus has had a wide variety of suits on her missions. What are your 3 favorite suits and why. Mine are as follows:
The P.E.D suit for prime 3- I like the way it evolves over the course of the game and looks more and more interesting aswell as its lite functionality. Who knew the federation could make cool things?
The light suit from prime 2- The all silver color scheme and sleeker design looks great. It making the dark zones less lethal makes exploring a bit more enjoyable when death doesn't loom overhead. Why scant she just use those knee spikes as weapons tho?
Dreads Varia suit- I think the varia in dread nails the color balanced well. Has the right blend of color and white accents aswell as orange being more palatable than the blue starting imo.
Can't wait to see what everyone else's picks are!

2021.10.26 09:48 Hecciii Just went out of BEC

Hi guys,
just had my first attempt on BEC, just wanted to share some insights with you and see if anyone else had the same experience recently.
So basically my exam should have been called somewhat COSOIT, because from all MCQs there may have been a max of 10 questions related to economics and financial management, like wtf was that. Economics was on of my top notch areas. I was literally shocked with the amount of IT, though many here already claimed it to be heavy on IT, but that heavy?
3 of 4 SIMS were actually pretty easy, but 1 SIM just blew my head off. It was a capital budgeting SIM ( which is actually pretty easy if you normally know NPV, ARR and all that stuff) with six huge documents attached to it with so much relevant (!) information, but man i really couldn't handle it and just did the best guess option lol.
WC been ok, no idea if that bullshit i wrote was good or bad but i paid most of my attention using key words, spelling and formatting.

2021.10.26 09:48 KalvinLokan Backtrack Business: Viscount Felixstowe rewriting their rewrite.

Let’s begin. I repeat, apparently, the usual nationalist claim on the Half Day Collapse, that the UWP was not cut out of budget proceedings. I made absolutely clear, and apparently get attacked for it too, that I do not know what went on inside the Executive with regards to the budget. The only sources I have are friends in the SDLP or Sinn Fein, and in the interests of preserving both my sanity and the UWP Leader’s fingers I deliberately did not comment on what I had heard so as to not be accused of bias. Despite seeing that it was apparently meaningless, I still intend to not reveal this out of respect to those who told me it in confidence.
The fact that the member admitted that they had little if any knowledge of the internal budget discussions, but still supposed to declare that the Ulster Workers' Party hadn't been cut out of the budget highlights the rather brazen nature by with which the Viscount plays fast and loose even with his own facts. The member has doubled down on their claim whilst simultaneously promising that they don't understand all that went on, essentially saying "In my humble opinion of not knowing what happened, this is what happened." And it is interesting that the member seems to suppose through ironic use of language that the claim is not a nationalist one, whilst then admitting the only sources they have are nationalists, having never approached any of the Unionists involved in the matter to ask what had gone on. Indeed, had the member taken the time to try and communicate that they wished to write a press piece on the matter, it would have been welcome, of course we now know they didn't and that's why they didn't ask, because the objective was to make a partisan press piece that cuddled up to the nationalist community in an effort to build political alliances whilst the APNI stills sits on negligible polling. The member managed to not comment on his biased opinions out of a desire to not be biased, but then proceeded to lie the blame on a matter he didn't know enough about, at the door of the people who had an axe to grind with, lets not mistake this for what it is, an attempt to white wash a political hit piece by hiding it behind the idea it was meant to amount to something more than a hatchet job, both in quality and substance.
There was adequate chance for the UWP to raise these issues on the budget in the cross-party chat on the budget.
As the member points out, the chat was created after the Half-Day collapse, after all the parties had had to sit down and negotiate to reach an agreement on where we'd been cut out of the budget to come to an arrangement moving forwards. The UWP didn't need to comment further because at the end of the day they had to do the heavy lifting after the collapse to fix the issues that the nationalists had created by slicing them out of the budget whilst leadership we're recuperating from a serious medical crisis'. The member of course seeks to purposefully misrepresent what has gone on however, seeming to suggest that we are still being side-lined in the budget now, ignoring of course that the Executive reformed after the collapse on the backs of an agreement being reached by the parties, something else which again the member doesn't know but has deemed to claim knowledge on by positing that the pre-agreement budget must have already been perfect therefore. Absolutely not, and indeed the compromise borne of the efforts of the UWP to work with our Executive colleagues meant that our interests were included (at a time when we didn't have people in hospital) and the Executive was reformed. So to answer the members rather bonkers question; Why did we vote in favour of it? Because the Executive discussed and negotiated it after the collapse and worked to then take those budget ideas to the whole of the parties in Northern Ireland. The first tier of discussion was when we were cut out. Then followed the second tier, as we reformed, negotiated and came to arrangements. The third tier was when it was brought to all parties. The Viscount knows only the third, last time, yet speaks as if they have any knowledge of the first two, preferring to make partisan statements rather than anything of substantive quality or engagement on the Half-Day collapse and the budget negotiations that went on.
Furthermore, accusing me of rewriting history and citing a change in policy from the Programme for Government is senseless - no Programme for Government was published. There is precisely zero way anybody outside of the Executive could know what is in it.
It would almost be like that the Programme for Government had been stalled as a result of other parties not meeting the completion of it, something which the UWP had pushed to be completed but had not, of course you'd expect the member to know this from their SDLP and SF sources inside the Executive but alas, it would seem that the ire was directed less at tackling the issues of all parties, and more as an excuse to attack another. The UWP commitments on Corporation tax were clear and were known, the member can either preach being wilfully ignorant, or being incompetent, but cannot claim that they shouldn't have been expected to know given it has been discussed several times for over the term. Indeed the deadlock was broken because we were able to reach compromise on the matter with our colleagues elsewhere. The member also admits how attacking coalition partners is going to happen with mandatory coalition, but declares that playing with fire results in being burnt. Perhaps he should note the complete absence of both the LPNI and SF for the first 3 months of the term and wonder that perhaps, if parties do not want a fire to start, they maybe shouldn't send all the arsonists to a single house and expect them to be sole voice and indeed contributor to the Executive's functions. I'd love to use the metaphor of the Viscounts to say that it was LPNI or SF who bought the gun, but the fact was that they weren't in the house, they didn't technically live there. The UWP bought itself its own gun, nurtured and looked after it, kept it safe and in line with regulations, whereupon the LPNI and SF, remembering the housing contract, broke into the house and shot the UWP because he suggested that he should have a say on next years housing contract.
and by referring to themselves as the Alliance, they are indeed damaging the APNI’s reputation to the electorate, intentionally or otherwise, as I already stated.
The Alliance is a shorthand in press pieces as said before, the Unionist Alliance will be the main shorthand address moving forward, though I doubt much can damage APNI's ailing reputation more than partisan political hatchet jobs in the press such as the members own pieces.
Furthermore, APNI apparently has a “poor record of surrendering Executive control to nationalists.” What? Is he implying that by entering into the Executive in the past alongside nationalists that the APNI is surrendering control to them?
No, the APNI squandered a 10-point polling lead in 2020, handing control of the Executive to the SDLP as their party exploded at the seams. It then imploded as the LPNI broke away, delivering the SDLP, soon to be SF a lead over 20, then 30 points in polling which was only whittled down by the hard work of the UWP. When the party was the largest in the Executive, it squandered good will and the political future of Northern Ireland, causing a Nationalist domination which was eventually cracked by the UWP. I'm implying the APNI are incompetent, their "non-sectarian politics" leading to one community becoming a dominant force as they imploded. The APNI's mismanagement and lack of leadership caused the ship that we are now forced to steer and ultimately, all their politics achieved was the entrenchment of sectarian politics again. The Other community has been discredited and it is clear now, more than ever that the only way to ensure a Northern Ireland that works for everyone is one where the communities are forced to work together, not alongside a constructed non-identity idealism which ignores the real political battles that need to be fought.
they have a valid resource to use - the petition of concern
The member doesn't like when we use it, even as the other parties look to rush a budget as fast as possible whilst medical and personal circumstances overtake some, he looks for whatever justification he can to continue to lie the blame at the UWP's door, rather than admit that his own biases have blinded him to the simple fact that the Executive collapsed on the back of the UWP being surgically cut out of critical aspects of governance by the Other and Nationalist parties in the Assembly. That is what happened and the member would know it, indeed be involved in it, had his party not exploded itself and dumped the nation into two terms of dismal nationalist leadership. The UWP and UUP have come to cooperate not because one believes it is greater than the other, but because we see the need to look at politics and fight the battles we can, against the rising issue of Other and Nationalists community parties trying to scythe our community out of the critical functions of Stormont. As happened with the budget until we stood up and ensure that we would be heard. When the Executive collapsed, we did work to bring it together, compromising when we were listened to. But the simple fact is, we shouldn't have been dumped in that position in the first place, and if the Viscount believes that what went on was in anyway a reflection of good community politics from the Nationalists and Other, then he is a fool or a nationalist, someone who either is to stupid to see what was wrong, or someone who likes what was wrong and wishes for it to continue.
Politics always moves on. It moved on when Alliance exploded. It's moving on as Sinn Fein collapses. It will move on again with the formation of CUA, and the sooner that the Nationalists and indeed the Other parties accept that Unionists are not the meek community they were a few terms ago, the sooner we can get to good, cooperative governance in Northern Ireland.
